EBOR has stepped up to help bring Christmas to those in a time of need.
Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless is a non-profit organization that covers the 24 southernmost counties in Illinois. SICH has 26 families in the program, many of them are homeless. The families are working with SICH. to improve their housing situation and often do not have the extra money to purchase gifts for their children.
EBOR donated $2600 to SICH to bring Christmas cheer to children of families in the program. The funds will allow Case Managers to take the parents in the program shopping to pick out gifts for their children to open Christmas morning.
This makes the fifth year EBOR has donated to the program.
